  4. I think substitute PT for the Hare's Ear and you have most of your bases covered. Maybe add a bright spot on a few.

  9. You can get white Ostrich, too. I havevfound dyes ostrich to not be brittle. I too look forward to hearing about white peacock. Thickness varies with Ostrich.
  10. One thing that helps is to ignore the hole and cut a shallow groove along the bottom of the foam to put the hook in. Wrap the hook with thread in a spiral pattern to give glue something to grab. This gives a better hook gap. Learned that from "Essential Saltwater Flies" by Jawarowski. Lots of crossover between salt and freshwater flies.

  13. Summertime is when the foam comes out! Gotta love it. I can make a foam fly that floats, Lol.
  14. Story of my life. Sometimes it is "I lost the only fly that was working"
  15. My eldest daughter got me back into shooting bows. We Elk hunted last year and are going in September for a week. She is dialed in with her compound and I prefer trad bows. Great to share an interest with your kids. She also fly fishes with me.
