I went to see my retina eye doctor today and he injected me with some orange colored dye to take pictures of the back of my eyes

the side effect is when i urinate it looks like i drank the contents of a yellow highlighter marker

You had a fluorescein angiography to see if any blood vessels were leaking.

I think it looks like Mt. Dew when it comes from the kidneys.

Screw that, one thing I HATE is someone messing with my eyes! I remember some years ago I got rust in my eye when I was under one of my trucks working on it and had to go to the doc. He put some shit in my eyes and then used some yellow thing that was almost like a piece of thin plastic to wipe/scrap across my eyeball. I was one second from drawing back and decking that doc 🤣 Every since then I can't stand anyone messing with my eyes.

i'm diabetic and my eyesight is very important to me

i let a doctor who is way smarter than me to make whatever recommendations needed to save my eyesight

That isn’t fun. I’ve had too many retina surgeries to even think about. Just happy they fixed my detached retina and I can see. I agree with flytire, glad they know a lot mote than me. Laser surgery is worse than retina surgery, at least you’re asleep for it.

i need a laser procedure in my right eye.

ive had it done before. its not a piece of cake to go through but its better than loosing my eyesight

ive also had 7 shots in my right eye but the numb the shit of it real good

Laser wasn’t fun. Felt like they were spot welding. Still all worth it for keeping sight!

Yep sadly being diabetic can cause a lot of issues with your eyes. My Brother in law had a really bad diabetic episode about 3 yrs ago where he basically went about 75% blind for about 2 weeks or so. I was having to take care of him during the day while my Nephew was at work because he couldn't even see well enough to be trusted not to walk into things. Thankfully after a few weeks of treatment and being on insulin, his sight has came back fully again.

I’ve had two glaucoma surgeries over the past two months.  I’m amazed at how they are able to make it relatively pain-free.  I was very apprehensive about the first surgery, but when I had the other eye done a month later, I had no worries.

I have Retinal Vein Occlusion in my right eye.  It blurs my vision in that eye.  Every three or four months I go to a retinal specialist and get an injection to relieve the pressure.  Overall, it's fairly painless and my vision in that eye improves.  It's a grin and bear it situation.
