After finishing an order for pike and salt water flies...

PikeansSalt_0010_zpsfc2bddff.jpg

I decided some therapy was in order so tied myself some of these.

PeaandPartridge_0001_zps5121457c.jpg

Hook: 14 Wet fly.

Thread: UTC 70 Blue dun.

Body: Dyed red stripped peacock eye herl, coated with Diamond Fine UV resin.

Wing: Starling.

Hackle: Grey partridge.

Feeling much better now, will feel even better when I can go out and use them again.

Cheers,

A.

Loved that second fly; gorgeous work! I have never used Diamond Fine UV Resin, but will look for it @ Somerset later this month.

Been messing around with a new hopper pattern, then decided to turn it into a stonefly. From top to bottom: an indicator style hopper for bigger water hopper dropper rigs, a skawala stone, a salmonfly, and another hopper to be used my it's self..post-45335-0-30886600-1389117208_thumb.jpg

T'other day I promised AK Assassin that I would have a go at Combining the Marc Petitjean Dun Wing/hackle with Wally Wings.

Well here is the result.

For the experiment I tied the MP Dun as per how Marc ties them just with the addition of Wally Wings.

Verdict: I'm not sure it adds much for the extra effort..

Cheers,

C.
