Definitely YES!

They sure look like what we in BC call Chironomids and they are deadly under an indicator in the early spring on lakes for trout.

Welcome to the forum, floatfisher, be sure to post up some pictures of patterns and some of the huge BC fish that gobble them, when you feel like it.

Will these work in all water or are they just for shallow tailwater?

They only work in water that has fish in it.

Having a hard time seeing the benefit of these over a Frenchie? Basically identical idea but the Frenchie has a little dubbing to add some bugginess. Same hot spot behind the bead and spotted tail.

I don't want to freak anyone out on here by saying this, I know it's blaspheme, But, I bet those would kill ice fishing. OUCH! I actually might tie some up and give to my nephew to try through the ice. OUCH! If we would ever get ice in Kansas again..UGGG!!! Sorry guys! I'll repent when I get home tonight. Man that hurt.

Sink rate is much higher with the perdigon.

So advantages in faster moving water? I'll probably tie a few for fun.

These are perfect for ice fishing applicaions, with bait like waxies or mealies, or even tiny minnows. Those Yellow Perch are fine eating, so I will be joining you in Purist Hell.... Carry On
