If you want a great price and don't mind waiting 3 weeks to get. 99 cents for 100. Free shipping. http://www.ebay.com/itm/100Pcs-Pack-3-9mm-Fish-Eyes-3D-Holographic-Lure-Eyes-Fly-Tying-Jigs-Crafts-Dolls/302036731058?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D40130%26meid%3D5a7df6c2d8a94a20836b9dcf0e4c0fd3%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D361869067823

I'm all for supporting local when the price is not too high, but there's no chance I will ever go back to buying 3D eyes from a shop for a few dollars for a card of 20. I go through them too fast for that. A few years ago, I bought over 14,000 3D eyes off ebay for under $60 with shipping. I'm set for years.
Bryon Anderson 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2017 I'm all for supporting the local fly shop when 1) their prices are reasonable and 2) I actually have one, which I currently do not, unless you count a Cabelas that's 25 miles away and never has what I need anyway. I live for these kinds of deals. Thanks for sharing stabgnid!
mikechell 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2017 Not to hijack the thread, but I forgot to mention, while in Illinois, I spoke with a "high ranking" member of the Cabela's staff. I was complaining that the fly tying section was a little bare. He said that Cabela's stores had stopped ordering, in preparation for Bass Pro Shop's acquisition and changes. "However," he stated, "That deal fell through, and Cabela's is now trying to keep their heads above water as they restock emptying shelves." So, for the present time, Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's are still separate entities. Just wanted to put that out there, before I forgot about it altogether. Guest Report post Posted April 5, 2017 I saw the other day that they had found a buyer for their (Cabela's) credit card business. That had supposedly been a stumbling block to the buyout taking place. If Cabela's stays independent they may struggle as their credit card business accounted for a large part of their profits. Bass Pro may eventually be able to get them for less money. I got Cabela's new Flyfishing catalog yesterday which kind of surprised me. They didn't seem to have much new in the way of Cabela branded rods but had a lot more pages devoted to other brand rods e.g. Sage, Winston, Redington and several others. The key to purveying materials from china is to never need it then and there, always be a month ahead. A lot of times I'll order stuff and once it shows up i'll think "oh, I completely forgot I bought this". Just wish they had bigger than 9mm and some solid colors.
