caloosa bug 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2019 Me and the boys spent the last day of the year searching for specks on the big O. Landed only one as I guess they didn't get the memo that it's winter. They must be be moving in late this year. We still had a blast with a few largemouth and a handful of catfish. Steeldrifter 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2019 Time on the water with your boys is a good way to close out the year CB. Neat pic of your boy behind the wheel. I remember when I was a kid I always looked forward to Dad letting me drive the boat back after we were done fishing for the day
caloosa bug 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2019 Caught some bass on fly, then lost a snook on fly before the sun went down. Then the lights and minnows went to work. Brought home 20 speck over 10in. It was a much-needed evening out before a busy few weeks ahead.
caloosa bug 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2019 Spent a few hours scouting for our annual, one fish, big bass tournament coming next weekend. Checked out water that would be away from the crowds in the common hot spots. Success! Now, if only they'll cooperate next weekend.

caloosa bug 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2019 There's nothing like a few hours of snook mayhem. It all started with the very first cast hooking and landing a 27 incher last night. After a release and a new leader, the next 10 casts involved landing 2 more small snook and missing a fish on almost every cast. Then the bite slowed and after some lure changes and several more small one's released, this acrobatic keeper sent me home to clean fish.
zip 0 Report post Posted March 12, 2019 Went out after all those nasty storms rolled through our area. It had been cold but warmed up to around 75 for a couple days.Second cast in and I stuck this fat girl!Fishing a senko on a 1/0 weedless finesse hook with 12 pound fluro.Used a 7ft med/lt spinning setup(that was a real fight). This was the biggest of 15!What a good day!

mikechell 0 Report post Posted March 12, 2019 JSzymczyk ... Joel. He gets a little bent out of shape at some of the common bass tournament vernacular. He hasn't been online for a few months, as far as I can tell.
