Poopdeck 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2019 Don't have any pictures but got the first Delaware river shad trip in today. Fished 8 hours and boated 15. Enough to keep me wanting more. Great day to be out and it will only get better for the next month.

Lesg 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2019 Is that your new salvaged canoe?
mikechell 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2019 Yep! Stayed dry and I kind of like fishing from it. I don't like it as much as the Jon boat ... but it'll get some use.
Charlie P. (NY) 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2019 It was 55 degrees today (unheard of for April 2nd) and I grabbed a UL spinning rod w/2lb test and a 1/32oz. 1" Mr. Twister Teeny Tails (always use black in that size) and headed to a local lake. In 90 minutes I had these two and two smaller I put back. It's going to be bad for the local trout if this summer is again as hot as last summer. caloosa bug 0 Report post Posted June 1, 2019 Got this on a light spinning reel and missed several more like it . But most of my time was spent flicking flies.

mikechell 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2019 Maybe, if I can get a week between doctor's okay to go to work and his okay to drive, I'll get a day or two to go after some Peacock Bass.
caloosa bug 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2019 The Ida-Osborne chain was a lot of fun. Much closer, and easier to get to than Miami. It proved more productive for me, and fit my comfort zone of shallow, sight casting. Go for it Mike! But ONLY if you’re healthy.

zip 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2019 Today I caught my new personal best...Talked to caloosa about it and he thinks its 10+!!!! Stuck it up on frog after a rainstorm.
mikechell 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2019 That's a big ol' pig, Zip !!! The bass in my avatar weighed 9 pounds 13 ounces. That mouth on yours looks like a 10 plus ... but I think she'd need a belly full of eggs to get there. I'm guessing she's closer to 9.
