hook - Dai Riki 075 #8

thread - UTC 140 burnt orange

tag - tinsel silver

tail - golden pheasant crest dyed WOIGO (Old Gold - 2Tsp Rit Golden Yellow, 1/2 Tsp Rit Tan/4 cups water)

rib - small wire silver

body - Ice Dub black

body hackle - black

shoulder hackle - sharptail grouse dyed WOIGO

head - deer hair dyed WOIGO

Getting closer to the color I'm looking for (West Of Ireland Golden Olive); maybe a bit more tan in the next batch, and I'll probably go with natural deer hair instead of bleached.

That looks like everything but the tutorial. Is there a tutorial of this fly somewhere? It looks like he messed up your tag, but it's worth it. Beautiful, I love it when a plan comes together.

Kimo, how much do you charge for each scud fly? Those are things of pure beauty. I'm sure that would work for trout and grayling.

Mark, those flies you posted were awesome. I can't wait to go back to your shop. Were're not going to Fairbanks for a while, thought.

SBPatt, I really like those muddlers.

Heres the video I used as a reference

Im a big fan of Ryan Houstons flies and techniques, especially his muddler heads.

I want to see more cool flies from you, Mark. Show us your cool saltwater flies! I think people would like to see what an Alaskan saltwater fly fisherman uses for all those lingcod, rockfish, and halibut. I, personally, would like to see some salmon flies.
