Tungsten Golden Ribbed Hare's Ear Nymph

Hook: Size 14, 2XL

Tail: Hare's mask (lower)

Ribbing: Gold tinsel

Abdomen & Thorax: Hare's mask blended 

Wing casing: Molted turkey

Notes: Finally buying a dedicated coffee grinder for blending furs was a very smart $16 well spent.

tag - tinsel silver
tail - golden pheasant tippet dyed hot orange
rib - small wire silver
body - dubbing claret
body hackle - black/claret (1 Tbs Rit Wine/1 cup water)
shoulder - Grizzly hen dyed Silver Doctor Blue (2 packs Koolaid Ice Blue Raspberry/1 cup water)
collar/head - pronghorn white

Tail.                 ........    3 pheasant tail fibres dyed olive

Body                ........    mix of a little rabbit,fox and seal

Ribbing.           ........   small gold wire

Thorax.           ........    SLF olive

Hackle.            ........   Greenwell hen

The naming of this fly and others with the same name is purely coincidental

What a month this has been. Everyone sure has brought their "A" game to the forum. @SBPatt your dyeing skills are amazing. No muddling about there. What a great resource and group to inspire us.

Here's my latest attempt at Snowie's #2 for the Brora. Well a variant anyhow. (more detail in the Classic thread).
