vicrider 0 Report post Posted December 7, 2021 Timeline will work for me. Not sure about Perdigon on a jig hook. Will have to try a few and see how I like them but haven't tried one on anything but a scud hook yet.

flytire 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2021 no just making a comment to vicrider and others that jig hooks are not required for tying perdigons
DarrellP 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2021 I have never tied one, but saw a guy catch a very large fish on one. In a lake, no less. I will join. I need to try something new.
Swmalone 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2021 I have never tied a perdigon, so I will pass on this but hope to see a few pictures of what you guys come up with.
vicrider 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2021 Swmalone, get in. If you can tie a nymph you can tie a Perdigon. Basically, it's a bare bones nymph, short tail, beadhead, lead wire on most, thin body, wire rib, and a black hump for wing bud. Check youtube and there are lots of good vids on simple Perdigons. You'll enjoy tying them and get a bunch for your box from some good tyers, oh yeah, and one of mine too.
