    Beady stuff

Flytire That's a great find! Thanks for sharing that.
  8. I got some at Wally world in the Craft section. I've also seen them at Micheals Craft stores on occasion.
  9. Contact Don Strachner at [email protected] . He's a member of this site. I've been using a program of his for a while and really like it. I've inventoried over 5,000 items so far and still have more to go but, there seems to be plenty of room. And believe me when I say that I'm not a Computer savy person and it's easy for me to figure out. Besides the tech. support is fantastic! Check him out.
  10. I have some from size 14-size 4 . How many are you looking for and what are they worth to you? Send me a Pm.
  11. While Cheap is good. Remember you get what you pay for and you should support your local fly shops. Otherwise they'll end up like the dinasours.... And That would be a bad thing.
  12. mine is #1365. I understand that they're in the 4000's now.
  13. my Master doesn't have one and works fine. You can get a parts blowup by going to the Renzetti site.
  14. I use a product from Canada called Liquid Lace for my stone flies and they work good for me.
  15. It's a long drive to the East Coast....
  16. good luck Steelie! I'm thinking of you bud!
  17. I have a Griffin Oddesy Cam Vise that I absolutely love for a travel vise . I tied on it for over a year and had no problems with it other than I wore out a set of jaws thatGriffin promptly replaced with no Questions asked. I really can't say enough about their Customer service. Then I bought the Renzetti Salt Water master with an ausable speed crank. The jaws somehow got gowed up on that vise and Renzetti said to send them in and they 'd think about replacing them. The problem is that the Renzetti cost 5 times what the Griffin costs and the Customer service sucks! I had problems of flying hooks out of the jaws at a couple of recent shows. I'm going to have to invest in several pairs of safety glasses. So see ,you don't always get what you pay for...
  18. Those birds look good to me ; I just wish that the light didn't "bleach out the color in the rump feathers. The rest of them looked good though. I like to get the longer rump feathers for Careys and Spratelys.
  19. Mustads Curved Nymph hook is a 80050BR they come in sizes 8-14 Tiemco makes a 200R same design. I use these hooks on all of my Damsels and in smaller sizes Mayflys. A C49S is a Caddis curved hook standard Weight/ 1x short shank. This hook I primarily use for Chironomids.
  20. Mc Fly I don't really know what you're arogant point is but, If I sold a fly that someone else designed . I wouldn't put my name on it as the inventor nor would I not give credit where credit is due. That was my point. Sure, I tye patterns by Phil Rowley and Brian Chan but I don't sell their patterns and say I came up with them. Lefty's Deciever wasn't named that because a guy named Whitey tyed it.
  21. Did you enter? if so good luck!
  22. Steelie, can you elaborate a little bit? I don't think that there are many that know what you're talking about. Thanks
  23. So while we're talking about it, have you ever developed a fly and showed others how to tye it and get a guy who keeps asking you questions about the "small Details" and then later find out that he's selling your pattern on his website and gave you no credit for all of the work that you put into this pattern? How'd that make you feel? What did you do if anything. I realize that no patent laws were broken and all but... How did shane Stalcup, Gil Nyerges, Phil Rowley and all of the rest get their names on their flies and get credit for patterns that they developed? I realize that people can change a pattern by altering the materials used to tye it but, Common sense tells me that this is theiving. But, as another tyer told me ; This is a Cut-throat world.
