mvendon 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2023 A belated Thank you !! I just got home from work again just now. You guys make me feel like a real slow poke tying these patterns. Really nice job on the Shakey Bealy nivecker ! The Bullet Head Hopper came out really good also Heff2 . I would have thought that it would slow up here with all the other stuff going on during the warm season. Regards, Mark
cphubert 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2023 White Death Jeff Blood's White Death Zonker is to imitate a dead great lakes shiner. He fishes it dead drifted for steelhead with good results. His original pattern did not have the eyes I added these for my liking so it would be a variant and fishes well dead drifted or retrieved slowly and has replaced the small white marabou in my fly boxes. Hook- Mustad 9672, thread- black for head (red for body and securing tail of zonker strip), body- holographic silver mylar piping, wing- white rabbit zonker strip fur divided and secured at rear of fly and whip finished, change thread to black at head and pull wing to head and tie off and whip finish. Eyes UV glued to head and head coated to finish.
