Looks like you are having fun!  I have been meaning to tie some similar to your duplex flies.

I'd love to see what you come up with.

It's about the only fun thing we can do these days. Can't eat good food. Can't drink and do drugs. Can't go out with wild women so I tie flies.

Of course, this station nor it's advertisers or posters advocate  the engagement in any of the above. "cept tying flys.

You know, you are right. It'll be a tough decision. Have a good winter. Going ice fishing tomorrow.

Have you fished the SMP (Skip Morris Panfish) fly for sunfish?  I love crawling this fly around weed beds for a good bite.

Have not seen SMP with rubber legs. Nice tie.

Your variation?

Bluegills love rubber legs +1

Skip's dragon is another good bottom pattern.Because of the green slime on most BOWs i fish i rarely fish right on the bottom, which is where red ears usually are.The deer hair bugs are tough, feel like a real bug and kind of settle below the surface after a bit. Most get eaten just below the surface.I tie them on sz12 -14  barbless dry fly hooks. They take a little time to make but they lhold up for dozens of fish .
