December Flies from the vice

Yeah I used oval tinsel on the second one and it got lost in the body. I stuck with the flat tinsel for the next ones.

Here is a nifty bonefish pattern shrunken down, usually on a 1/0 chasing deeper fish BUT it also kicks ass for smallmouth, might even try for carp, has that shrimpy, whitebait, goby look.

Aus Flats Master
Gamakatsu SL11-3H size 6 or 8
Clear mono thread
Tungsten hourglass eye black gunmetal, x small, 3.0mm x 5.0mm
Tail - Select craft fur tan, 2 strands of midge crystal flash enveloped by two grizzly hackle tips
Body - flat diamond braid coated in CCG
Hackle - grizzly
Eye - stick on fish skull eye

A couple of little flashy EP fish (small), might trim em down a tad

Then went crazy on blue charm types

Always humbled by what I see here, seriously.

Im doing some dry Quill Gordons in 12 through 16 (work for any grey or brown bodied, greyish mayfly) and some wet Cahills, of both flavors, in 14. Fun stuff, and easy.

A few patterns I have tied lately. The crabs, cork popper, and the rolled foam popper are some firsts for me.

Jesus Jam,

You have really been putting time in! Loving those salty flies, will be tying some for my box for sure, look amazing!

Also some great charms and that intruders is amazing...some truly great stuff man, I think next year on the river is going to be stellar!

Here is one I just finished up, green but spey freetylish fly. Started the body last night, tried to set the wings a few times and gave up. I left it until this morning and after a cup of coffee and some pondering I think it all came together.

Very nice wings there Bassmouth! Only thing I'd suggest is bringing the thread back a bit, but other than that that's a very nice fishing fly!
