kimjensen 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2015 How's the new vise holding upIt holds the hooks okay, but still the same problem. I think I'll get some spare jaws, so I don't have to wait if I need to send them in.
WallyWabash03 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2015 My first try at some pheasant tails (I'm a newbie!). The American, Sawyer, and beadhead. I found the beadhead to be the most difficult. I was tying it all with one clump of pheasant tail; maybe I should be using a second clump for the wing case and legs.

switch10 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2015 I saw that catgut nymph posted here a few weeks ago, and I loved how the catgut looked when wet. It's a pretty unique material. I had to pick some up becuase I thought it would look great on my caddis pupa and larvae patterns. They also make it small enough to tie on size #20 hooks which is really nice. Here's my catgut micro caddis size #20 and #18:

mikechell 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2015 Cute Mice, Johnny. If they didn't have hook points on them, I'd give 'em to the cat! Should get a few hits on those ... if you actually fish them. Oh, and welcome to the site.

TheCream 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2015 Here is yet another " Baby Bird" Awesome! Have you fished one yet, Bruce? I only tied one last year, had every intention of slinging it, then never got around to it. I want to see a bass light one up this spring!
Guest Report post Posted January 13, 2015 I got to quit looking at all these great flies. I'm getting an inferiority complex when I look at mine!
Dubs 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2015 Here are few from the last few days. All the deer hair stuff here is art! But something I would actually tie and fish is this one with the pink collar. Is that cdc? It looks really spikey how was it tied in?
