Had to rely on dyed belly hair for this one; texture’s a bit harsh but it had the colors I was looking for.

hook - BVFT Dry #10
thread - UTC 140 red
tail - golden pheasant tippet
body - dubbing red
wing(s) - deer hair red
head/collar - deer dyed yellow

Regards,
Scott

Trico      hook size 16  underbody thin ribbon i have. Moose mane body, antron wing. dubbing for head.

I want to fish your trico hatch.  On the Missouri I can get away with a short-shank #20 emerger hook but still have to use 6x tippet which means the majority of my flies are donated to the river when I hook up and the trout bore into the weeds.

Scott

Jaydub,

I really like that BWO. I am inspired by such a clean tie and great proportions.

Going to have to get some biots.
