Yep, all of the time, especially in hunting season. Cell phones don't work in many areas around here and these are a good substitute.

When my dad wouldn't get me the CB radio, he said how about a walkie talkie instead. I got the walkie talkie. Kept my interest for a few days...

I have two pairs of them and they both suck. Complete waste of money. Cell phones work most everywhere I go.

The only time I am fishing with buddies is on a boat. No need for long distance communications there.

 

Wife and I have a set ... in case I ever get my detached work shop built. We'll use them then, so we can contact each other in cases of quick necessity.

Bought a pair for the wife to use when i'm in the shop or out on the farm, she doesn't use much, after the new wore off.

Use them alot during hunting season, and the kids use them to keep in touch with my wife while they are exploring around the farm

wife and I use them when we are camping and I am usually on the river fishing. they work well for us.
