  1. Lowering your carbs is a good idea. Going on a fad diet is a bad idea. Diets never work long term because they simply are not maintainable. I like to look to really simple lifestyle changes which are easily maintained. Eat early, like 5:30 and don’t eat anything after 7. I stopped eating bread except once a week on pizza night. Cut out beer, soda, energy drinks and replace them with ice water. Easy enough. Eat less meat and more fish and lots and lots lots of vegetables. Again, easy enough. Cut out all processed foods like lunch meat, tv dinners, anything that comes in its own cheese sauce, pizza hot pockets and the like. You will be surprised how that stuff not only makes you look terrible but also feel terrible. Good health a fitness is 90% diet and the rest exercise. I know I sound like a pitchman but my Peloton is the best thing I ever bought and it’s worth the $45.00 monthly membership. I was formerly the worlds biggest hater of peloton and peloton instructors. Now I embrace them and ride every morning with them, do weights with them and I stretch with them. They provide me with the structure that I need. Walking is great exercise and I walk every evening between 6 and 8 PM to keep me off the coach or out of a chair. Everybody is different but staying off the couch is universal. glad you came to your senses and good luck to you. You can do this.
  2. Just to keep it on track, Northcaddis has accepted the Crowe beetle challenge.
  3. Sounds like a cool party trick. Did you try peeing under a black light?
  4. I don’t like dumbell eyes on my crayfish for no good reason other then I don’t like the looks either. Dumb reason I know but it’s the only reason I got. I use a tungsten bead tied belly scratcher style with a cray tail tied to the under side as well. The cray tail isn’t all that much weight but I’m sure it helps. You could hide a bead or two real easy in among all that fur on the bottom. https://www.jsflyfishing.com/products/fish-skull-shrimp-cray-tails?variant=43259242873061&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-eW0x_qg_wIVAUJyCh2Vrw3IEAQYASABEgKED_D_BwE

  11. I use AirPods. Love them. I have no idea what an impedance is nor am I familiar with the brands you mentioned.
  12. I’m not. Thanks for sharing your obvious passion with us.
  13. Nice boat. I love those utilitarian/work/fishing style of boat. You did a nice job on the rehab. I like the smooth deck. How’s the flat bottom on the lake? Was there any chop that rattled the fillings? My river is dying a slow death and I’m considering lake fishing this summer but my boat screams shallow river.
  14. I’ve been doing this for years and will never go back to carrying the entire fly shop. I tie flies, I stick them to foam sheets at the bench. I pick and choose which flies to take fishing, carrying as few as possible which is usually about but never more than 4 thin boxes that fit into a shirt pocket or cargo pocket. I do have some boxes that are specific to where I’m fishing and what I’m fishing for. A lanyard connected to my wader straps for tools and tippet, a small sling pack for water, treats, indicators and such and I’m calling it good. I’m about ready to jump down to wader pants since I rarely go deeper then knee deep. i see on Etsy people selling 3D printed dividers for altoid tins. Perhaps you could add those to your list of things you printed.
  15. Well shoot, let’s see the Alweld. I love those style of boats. Is this the one that’s been sitting in your driveway/yard? That’s quite the impressive road trip and man those are still impressive sunnies. I might have to put sunnie fishing that lake on my retirement list.
  16. You know there is a CB South now to go with the East and West. It’s why West lost its football dominance. That and Coach Pettine retiring with his 326-42-4 record.
  17. Same area. I take it you moved to CA?
  18. From the Philly burbs. Thats a nice boat and you’re gonna love fishing out of it. I can’t get my boat out enough.
  19. Yep the white one, that’s the one i’m trying next along with some other colors. I slope it front to rear though.
  20. It was worth the wait. It looks great, the garden entrance and the Alberta spruce. I also have been working on a bonsai tree for the last twenty years. I started with a rare Japanese gargantuan maple which grow to a staggering 1800 feet. Through careful pruning of the foliage and roots I have kept it in miniature bonsai form.
  21. Congrats on your boat purchase I’m sure you will enjoy it. I’ve owned many boats but never tied out of one so I can’t help you there. I can offer suggestions on how to eat a hoagie.
  22. After seeing the Mohawk fly on this thread I decided to tie one up in olive/white and take it out on my local WW creek this evening. I got to say that it is my new favorite pattern for my local creek. It has for now supplanted my old favorite of many years, a white wulff variant. I caught 2 SMB, a handful of Rockies and to many to count gills. Best part is the fly is very durable and is still very fishable. I shall tie more in different colors to include a solid white one just to see what happens. Thank you to whoever suggested this pattern.
  23. I’d skip the clamp on seat base. I had one clamped to a bench seat and it would pop right off if I leaned back in the chair. Couldn’t get it tight enough to prevent it from popping off. I replaced it with one that bolted directly to the bench seat.
  24. Really nice comparaduns Jaydub!
