Piker20 0 Report post Posted July 11, 2014 Never need an excuse for Guiness. Its medicinal. I wasn't sure how I was going to explain the kitten having an nose ring to the wife but managed to lift him away in time.
mikechell 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2014 Piker, That's funny ... typical cat, typical cat person leaving the picture in the line up. It's what I'd do, too ... if I let my cats get near my fly tying stuff. When it's out, the kitties stay away. When I am done tying, the stuff goes away so the cats can't get to it. switch10 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2014 Flytire, that red ant is excellent. Are those red beads under the epoxy/UV resin? Or something more buoyant?

Cannonx4 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2014 How do you get the ant red, I understand to use epoxy but what do you put in it to make it read?
HalfDunn 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2014 Not tied to represent anything more to improve technique. The MRC (Mouse, Rabbit and Chicken) I would appreciate feed back on proportions, position of post and density of hackle please. Tied on a Lucian's Demon 110BL #16 dry fly hook. Not for Kittens. utyer 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2014 Half, I don't see anything "wrong" with that MRC. I maybe would tighten up the abdomen a bit, but that's just me. Try it on the fish, if they like it, then your golden.

Crackaig 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2014 On my bench I have a pot for odds and ends I tie up, usually to explain a technique or see if an idea will work. I had a rummage through it today There were a couple of odd hooks, so I tied something on them. The result is... Now back to tying by the dozen. Cheers, C.
