i was thinking the quill could be eliminated or replaced with biots?

Norm,

Biots would create a neat effect but for a Carnage tie, I've found them to be a pain, too. Wrapping the foam up and down the core generates a good bit of torque and keeping anything lined up properly is problematic; with hair or tail fibers, orientation is not a issue.

Regards,

Scott

Real nice CB.

Are they hard to tie when tying them small like the #6?

Thanks guys! They aren't that bad.The hardest part for me is trying not to bend the hook when packing. This one got a little deformed and I had to open it up some.

I've come to favor the j907 stainless from jstockard, over the others I've tried. They're a good strong hook that make it a little easier.

Dude! dry.png

I was just stating an obvious observation! biggrin.png

Well I apologize, my suggestion on his fly was probably stating the obvious as well. Im sure he already knew that trick. I was wrong to give him advice .

Don't take it personal, dude.

It wasn't a "dig" at you ... more of a compliment to flytire.
