xvigauge 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2019 This is a fly I tied using 99% of the stuff sent to me by Mark Knapp. It is based on the Hare's Ear Nymph with a few substitutions. Hook: size 14 nymph hook Bead: small copper Tail: moose mane Body: Bison hair twisted and wrapped onto hook shank. Ribbing: Xtra fine copper wire Thorax: Hare's mask dubbing with otter hair added and dubbed. Wing casing: black bear hair Thread: brown Com'on guys, post some photos of flies tied with the Mark Knapp materials he so graciously sent us. Thanks again Mark. Mike West 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2019 All I can say is at 60 years old Ill never have to buy any more deer hair to tie dry flies like Humpys,Caddis, Hoppers,Thunder Creeks..Ect. About the same with the fur and the bluegill nymphs I tie. Ill be dead before I use all of this. Very generous of you. Thank you once again.
