You're too young to be "good" at anything.

At this point in your life, do everything you can without pretending to be an expert at it. Absorb all the knowledge and skills you can.

Eventually, you'll find something that fits (or somethings that fit) and that/those will be your forte.

Thanks Norm, I like it.

And some from my vise.

We were also talking about acetate floss in another thread so I decided to play with that some too. These are some ice flies of no particular known pattern.

I like the acetate because it gives the fly some translucence that you don't see with other flosses. The acetate dried immediately, I didn't have to wait before starting the next step.

This is a Russian style nymph hook I found in some of my stuff.

Mike, that's too funny.

Let's see some Last Chance Cripples, since they are on our minds lately. I'm gunna try one. Writing an application for a patent right now so my "spare" time is limited. It's worse than tax season.

I know you asked for Last Chance cripple. I tied this one with a CDC wing ala LAst Chance but used a stripped peacock quill for the body instead of a biot and wire. Figured I'd throw in a Quigley style too w/ a deer hair wing and biot and wire body for you.

Though not strictly "November Flies From The Vise", I did finish off this midge box in November. In fact I just finished it. As usual you all are rocking the vise and sure give me inspiration to tie better

I agree. Be a student your whole life. Cram your brain full.
