Love the JWB's!  I've tied over 20 variations of this fly to represent various warm and cold water species - trout family, bass/sunfish family, and baitfish.  Ever try substituting marabou for the bucktail?  Works really nice on the size 10 and smaller hooks.  Most are tied with an upper (darker) color of bucktail "halo" and a lighter lower color (white, yellow or what the fish calls for) "halo".

Harry's site also has his The Ghost pattern as well.  That inspired me to tie The Black Knight (black on black on black with silver Krystal Flash) and the Midnight Martini (black abdomen, olive/dark olive bucktail - the brown died dk. olive looks nice + 2 strands silver flash, and dark olive head ).  I figure these will be nice for low light/evening fishing.  I'm thinking of giving the Martini a red nose for a hot spot - just for some fun!

This fly would never be confused with the fine examples of the Jock Scott on the Artistic and Classic Salmon fly forum. It is a Brook Trout fly with a similar color scheme, developed for Gold Lake, Oregon.

With those colors I can see crappies hitting on this.

Just finishing up tying some bass bugs.   Some in the last group still need legs.

First up, Meade's Gutless Frog.  A new fly for me this year.  It's supposed to be weedless.  I'll have to fish it to see if it is.

Hook: Ahrex Trout Predator Long 2/0

Body:   6 mm foam strip

Legs:  Silicone Skirt Layers

Eyes:  7 mm Living Eyes

Colors:  Permanent Markers

Tony's Froggie.  Normally I tie it on size 6 2xl for pan fish

Hook: Ahrex Trout Predator Long 2/0

Body:  6 mm foam strips, White and Yellow

Tail: Marabou to match fly color

Legs:  Silicone Skirt Layers

Eyes:  7 mm Living Eyes

Colors:  Permanent Marker on the Fluorescent Yellow on the top row.

The fly really doesn't have a name.  The initial template was the soft foam spider bodies you can buy on line.  Another super sized pan fish fly I normally tie on a size 6 2xl.

Body:  6 mm foam  piece, arrow head shape

Tail: Marabou to match fly color

Legs:  Silicone Skirt Layers

Eyes:  7 mm Living Eyes

Colors:  Permanent Marker on the Fluorescent Yellow on the top row.

For lack of a better name I calls this one the Heart Popper.  Based on a foam pattern shown to me by Harrison Steeves,  instead of the head being glued to the sides of the body, I left them open. I still need to add legs on some of them. Has a bit of a Jitterbug action when retrieved with a steady strip.

Hook: Gamakatsu B10S stinger hook, size 4

Body:  Heart shaped piece of 2 mm craft foam

Tail: Marabou to match fly color

Legs:  Silicone Skirt Layers

Eyes:  6 mm Living Eyes

Colors:  Permanent Markers.  The bottom row has permanent markers over silver and gold Art Deco transfer foil.
