  1. Thanks - may be going up to Brownville area sometime in June to fish visit a friend.
  2. They raised the dam level at the local lake today, cutting down the outflow to a trickle. The yellow perch were trying to swim upstream. VID20230409171635.mp4
  3. Time to take the bird feeders down -
  4. LOL - nice. As Poopdeck says, plan for expansion.
  5. 👍 Nice. I haven't really followed this past winter's weather up there. Was your snow fall as anemic as here in southern New England?
  6. Not sure what you're referring to, but Sally Hansen Hard as Nails fingernail polish is often abbreviated to SHHAN
  7. I thought it was pretty clear, maybe I got it completely wrong.
  8. Pretty bird, nice photo. Mother-in-law swore she saw one on her feeders a few days last year, pretty rare her in New England. Yesterday, I came across a small flock of Palm Warblers while hiking with the dog. Had to look them up for an ID. They were sitting in a fallen tree in the swamp, snatching midges in mid-air that were steadily emerging, which is what caught my attention. On their way to their breeding grounds in the northern Canadian forests. No pictures, unfortunately.
  9. Thanks, I haven't fished that one yet, but hoping for decent results.

  11. From Massachusetts, welcome to the active side.
  12. Nice, I'll have to give that pattern a go
  13. Used to have one, may still have it.
  14. Picked up a great set o flies in the mail yesterday. Good theme for the swap. Thanks all who put in the effort. Thanks Kim for hosting and the extras.
  15. Just heard a report today that a few were caught around here. Have never been, always wanted to get one on the fly rod.
  16. That's a good idea, I have a bunch of those left over from a car project a few years ago, I'll have to see if they fit.
  17. Nice, that exactly how I imagined you'd look too.
  18. Pretty sure that's the model number but it should be 4TMF. An old Trailmaster, probably a six or seven weight.
  19. I never really see a big hatch of them on the rivers I fish here in MA, but starting sometime in June, I do see the occasional dun flying around, not on the water. The nymphs seem to do well anyway. They can get pretty big here.
  20. They definitely look good. I'm just not familiar with the material or with fishing the pattern. I appreciate the explanation. 👍
  21. Damn flytire! What's your secret source for wing quills? Are you always able to check them out in person? I go to a shop and I'm lucky if I can find two or three pair that are decent in the whole joint. Sometimes I'm not sure which is more impressive your ties or your seemingly infinite stock of nice material.
