Looks cool. just wondering, those look like lead eyes and if so are they enough to flip the fly?? How'd it work this weekend?

Slow day for sure, but the non articulated version worked great. Those are beads with mono melted in the middle.

I do have some of the LEAD I-Balz, but I try to stay clear from them. One they are lead and two, I like my lines to put the fly where I want, not the fly.

Here are a couple boxes I tied up for this years fall steelhead season.

In the nymph box I have some black stone fly nymphs, egg sucking black stones, Egg Sucking Mega Princes and Regular Mega Princes as well as some Clown Egg Sucking leeches and Orange Egg sucking leeches. Each row of nymphs has a bakers dozen and each row of eggs has a dozen. These boxes are starting to dwindle already as my season is in full swing with many fish to hand already.

Finally decided on using swiss straw for the wing pads. I think they look a bit more 'Jurasik' than cut feathers ;)

Nice job, Jan. I like H&L dries. Have you tied one with the herl, yet?

I forget sometimes to tie in the ribs on my flies, and don't realize it until after I've wrapped

the body, etc. I hate that.

Excellent, Hans.

Yes, I tie all of mine with the herl, just that one slipped my mind

I put a picture of a one with herl there in place of the one before.

Yep, I understood that. Just hoped you'd post one. And you did.

A very good one, too. Thank you, Sir.

Rick, those are awesome. What did you use for the bodies on the

blue ones? Thanks for posting.
