ChuckingFluff 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 Thanks Jan that's my under $50 tying bench setup. The DK rotates but it's not a true rotating vice; it's on an angle when rotated and not adjustable, great vice though. The new Jvice is in transit somewhere between South Africa and Canada. I can't wait for it get here. :headbang:
utyer 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2009 Finnaly got this cleaned up and organized. Sorry the desk never looks any better than this. Most of this storage area came with the house. The total bench is over 12 feet. I built the slide out desk area. The storage bins are full of materials. First picture is the left side storage. The gray boxes are storage for flies. The rest is materials. The desk is next, then storage under the desk. The right side storage area for materials. The last picture is some of my dubbing boxes. The boxes with 18 compartments were less than 2.25 each, and the bigger boxes were under 5.00 at my local tackle shop. The magazine rack. Since posting this back a while ago, I have gotten rid of all the magazines.

993guy 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2010 I just set this up last month. My old bench area was a roll top desk. This is a closet that I converted and I love the storage and tabletop surface (Melamine shelf from Home Depot, $17) because when it gets old and gross, I can just turn it over or go buy another one. New Peak Vice, C&F fly boxes and Modern Midges book were Christmas presents. :yahoo:

Pastor Ron 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2010 This is as wide as I could get the frame given the room I had to back away from my bench. My tying "space" is a section of the laundry/furnace room; I like it, it's quiet, secluded, it's a nice little hideaway!
