Although the fly’s buggy enough, as is, I added some partridge up front.  Not sure if the hatch is still happening in YNP; if you miss it in the spring it happens again in September.  Here’s the video if you’re interested.

hook - WFC Model 3 #14
thread - MFC 8/0 light olive
body - Zelon dubbing white miller
wing/waking post - Congo Hair white
hackle - barred cream (oversized by 1)
collar - partridge

Regards,
Scott

Nice, TS.  I may have to try a few of those.

Nice work there, great looking flies.  How's the leader twist when casting those?

Nice set of flies, Jaydub  - what the tailing material on the first nymph?

Three Flies. The first is a Halfback Nymph. The second is a generic, largely hen pheasant dry fly. The third is a generic, largely hen pheasant, nymph.

I did well with a shuckless version on the Firehole; this one is probably more involved than need be for the trout I found.

hook - WFC Model 3 #14
thread - MFC 8/0 light olive
shuck - Congo Hair golden stone
body - Zelon dubbing white miller
hackle - partridge

Regards,
Scott

Yeeeaaaahhhh (drawled out) ... "... for shellcrackers ..."  I doubt it.

Oh, I don't doubt you tied them for that ... but the Bluegills, the Warmouths, the Bass ... they're all going to beeline for that before the shellcrackers even get close.
