Wing: Mallard quill

Thorax and head: Superfine Tan dubbing

Thread. ...... Pearsall’s silk dark orange
Body. ...... Mole touch dubbed
Thorax. ..... Orange seal with a touch of orange ice dub. Pic does not show it as orange  but it is !
Hackle. ..... Red Grouse

A couple of real nice ties, @cphubert.  I only recently started paying more attention to those white tipped starling feathers, I'm surprised they are not used more for this kind of tie.  I have a long list of 'nexts' on my shopping list, but a dyed starling is near the top.

Thank you niveker! I do enjoy fishing these no hackle flies. I just completed tying 2 dozen of this very pattern. The wings obviously don’t stay together once you start fishing them but that doesn’t hinder their effectiveness.  If you are fishing less turbulent water I am not sure there is a pattern that gives a superior profile.

Thanks guys!  I think I finally got my camera adjusted to take some acceptable photos thanks to a few of the guys here and the tips they provided.

body- chartreuse silk & Kelly green silk, twisted independently then twisted to buttonhole twist

hackle- hen or partridge
