i just orders some fly clips i change flies alot and aml azy and will end up with a very short leader real quick.i dont use small flies so i dont think it will effect them

thanks for posting that video never knew they were made that way. when looking up the floating jigs i seen that they are made with 1/0, 4 and 6 size hooks -

another alternative is to add material to a phelps floating jig. nice wide gap short hook,. just add tail and you can pull legs thru or just ti e them on using the same color thread that works for smallies too rob rich mc -
are they sport fans use colors of their favorite team or fav college colors

dont know if it will help with your glue but i use liquid fusion and i store the bottle upside down [point down] and it helps alot

without a doubt those will catch fish but il stick to mop bodies. havnt tried them on a scud hook but you gave me the idea. i also have some shiny bodies from a bath matt and being thinner it should fit the smaller scud hook

rob the keel type hook helps. i dont tie weedguards but prefer to tie on wide gap worm hooks and let the material do the work.also closer type flieson a 60 degreehook like the ec410.

i wondered if a good deer hair tyer could make a plopper tail out of hair on a tube , then trim to make a fin and solarez it. challenging idea?

i do something similar with my ultimate worm fly i will leave the tag end thru the eye going down[ 1/2 inch ] then add a split shot. i also dont knot the end so it shot will slip off if snagged

the whopper plopper has caught many fish .i bought one just cause i liked the name. .it must be a good lure since all companies have copied it. just like the chatterbait. i am sure a fly company will make a plastic blade ,similar to the now extinct action disc .. i tried making a plopper fly using a spin n glo body for the taill ,didnt work
