flytire 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2021 Halfback Category - Stonefly Nymph Hook - Mustad R74-9672 (or equivalent), Size 8-14 Weight - Lead/lead free wire (not specified in the book recipe) (optional) Thread - Olive Tail - Brown hackle fibers Ribbing - Fine gold or copper wire (not specified in the book recipe) (optional) Body - Peacock herl Legs - Brown hackle fibers Wing case - Dyed brown mallard feather trimmed to extend over approximately 1/3 body Tying Tip - Wrap the herl around a length of tying thread into a herl rope for a little durability.
