where have you been? Welcome back

i will make an attempt at the Megan Boyd shrimp

i will have to order a couple of materials

stay tuned

Hey Norm. We moved house and i moved jobs and life just seemed to over take me a bit. Haven't really been near the vice for years now but it's set up and my son wants to get into the fly fishing more now,  so hopefully 2023 will see me fly fishing and tying with a vengeance. I have a loch that has a rich shrimp life so plan to fill a box with scuds and shrimp types.

Link works now.

No argument, just an observation.

Time to lower the curve. These should do me until I run out sometime this summer. Oh dang, I don’t have any brown.

poopdeck I look forward to seeing what those frogs get to eat them.

I use them at  a local canal I fish for bass and pickerel. Unfortunately I don’t take pictures of most fish since I stopped doing so years ago unless they are a personal best. In the case of bass and pickerel, I don’t think there is one big enough in the canal for me to take a picture but you never know what your going to run into.

Zoo cougar

Hook: Firehole 811 size 4 (used my last daiichi 2461 size 4 for the cougar in the challenge thread)

Tail: brown marabou

Body: pearl sparkle braid

Underwing: calf tail

Wing: two mallard flank feathers dyed wood duck gold

Collar/head: natural deer hair

I think the head shape on this fly is better than the one I posted in the challenge thread.

Kinda late but shrimp tied on a tube.
Nothing fancy just clipped the ends off a plastic Qutip, melted the ends a lil and dressed.  Had some bug eyed 3407DT Mustads tied on 12# TryleneBigGame mono.

California Mosquito

Nice. Reminds me of the 'secret fly' from the back-woods of Maine, the Slim Jim
