Heff2 0 Report post Posted March 1 Muddler Minnow hook: mustard 9672 sz 8 thread: body rust brown uni 8/0, head 150D black GSP tail and wing: modelled(ozark) turkey body and under wing: gold Krystal flash midwing: grey squirrel head: deer body fur It’s a tricky one to tie and there a few headed to the cull pile for sure. I learned it’s best to cement that wing in place before tying in the head, eventually

Heff2 0 Report post Posted March 3 Another Muddler I started tying muddlers based on a Charlie Craven method. Been working on the pattern a few days now and after seeing some Don Galen originals I thought I should do some a little bigger and sparser through the head and collar. I’m thinking these will get down in the water a little quicker too. Flipped the wing to change the profile but I’m not sure which version I prefer.
