Grey Runt Nymph (variation)

Original is tied with dark grey dubbing for the thorax; with the aftershaft fibers co-mingling with the grizzly hackle, it kinda morphed into an Adams softhackle. Weighted underbody optional.

 

 

hook - Dai Riki 280 #10

underbody - non-tox .025 (optional)

thread - Danville 6/0 black

tail - goose biots natural

abdomen - muskrat

thorax - pheasant aftershaft

hackle - hen grizzly

Found this over on Ward Bean's warmwater site. Supposed to be a bluegill pattern (what fly isn't a bluegill pattern?); looks like it could work elsewhere, too.

body - peacock herl

Exactly fisherboy.

 

this remora and another were on bkack eagle rays today. What you can see in the pic, Piker, is the front psrt of its suction pad.
