    New Vise

I think if I tied more I would buy a dyna king, I don't tie very much these days and would rather put money into my knifemaking equipment than a fancier vise that is mostly going to function the same as my atlas.
  4. Gsp thread for spinning or attacking deer hair, i use 210 for most things
  5. I was going to get mine in the mail tomorrow up to you if you want to wait for them.

    New Vise

Depends on how much your looking to spend, I use a Wolff Indiana atlas, they're 150-175 depending on where you buy them. I have been very happy with mine it's well built and comes with both a pedestal base which is what I use at home and a clamp that I used when I went to FL last year so I didn't have to pack the heavy base.
  7. Beautiful flys as always Pete, I've missed seeing them.
  8. That is the old hat that has been a member during the time have been here 2016ish, he is living in FL.
  9. Old hat and I were friends on Facebook I believe he got rid of it permanently and said he was mostly going to be leaving here as well unfortunately, he always had good stuff to share.

    Foam diver

Here's mine this may have been the first one I tied, if that's the case it swam great but I found you have to use a wide gap hook or the lip seems to block strikes, I got a ton of hits on the first one but no hookups, went to a wide gap stinger hook and it solved the problem.

    Foam diver

I tie some that look a lot like a flat fish one piece of trimmed tail 1 piece of foam tied in at the back that goes over a dubbed shank and poke the eye through the foam and trim to make a small lip, swims pretty much just like a flat fish lure would if it had a marabou tail.
  12. Wet in the water is very different than wet out of the water though, I doubt marabou or rabbit strips would be very effective if they looked the same wet in the water as they do out of it.
  13. Looks pretty sweet, personally I think covid is with us forever, I wouldn't put off moving till we're done with it.
  14. I'm guessing far fewer women tie than men, most outdoors sports especially fishing and hunting are mostly done by men, and even the women that do it are rarely as involved.
  15. I'm sorry for your loss Doc, I've lost a few friends 1 from suicide it's by far the hardest.
  16. I have a multi purpose adjustment tool in my truck, 14" crescent wrench.
  17. That link worked for me as well.
  18. I have a little Martin like that caloosa my parents got it for me when I was probably about 10 for Christmas.
  19. Ok let me know if you change your mind I got a few hundred along with a bunch of other materials for like 30$ a couple years ago.
  20. Landon I have an extra pack of salmon hooks in green of you'd like them for tying salmon and spey flys, I just use them for tying buggers.
  21. If you don't have a sinking or sink tip line you can add a versa leader to your regular one it will add a bit of wt so you will be overlined but they work well. Disc golf is one of my favorite pastimes, I don't get to play much anymore but used to play my fair share of tournaments.
