I saw on the national news that Norwich got hit hard by the recent weather. See your work tells me you managed to get through it fine.
Glad to see that.

yes

the yantic river in norwich, which is always prone to flooding, did a number in a few places and a few flooded buildings along its banks

it didnt help with a dam upstream in fitchville partially collapsed

Waters from the swollen Yantic River flood a residential area near the Fitchville Pond Dam in Bozrah, Connecticut.

Flooding traps people inside Domino’s in Norwich – NBC Connecticut

no pizzas for awhile

i'm nowhere near the flooded areas in norwich + my mobile home is about 2 1/2 feet above ground

Did you finally go to the dark side and use a vise for that one😉? Nice tie BTW.

Thank you, and yes I did use the vise.  It went well, I’m getting used to it.

Trolling tube

Quabbin Smelt, my variant of Tom Fawcett's pattern.

pink tube, white thread, body- silver mylar piping under opal mylar piping with red hot spot and opal piping left long and frayed for tail, throat- white bucktail, wing- sparse lavender bucktail,  peacock herl under feather wing (hot pink center with gray outer) silver pheasant cheeks with uv secured 3d eyes. I like a double hook and junction tube to keel the fly.

The Wobbler tube fly

My answer to the Mooselook Wobbler that is a productive trolling tin. Tied in the 9-3 flatwing style for movement. This one is hot orange & silver, I also tie chartreuse and opal.

Clear tube, orange thread, body- silver braid well coated with Sally Hanson, wing sparse bucktail support pillow under 2 hackles tied flatwing style, 2 tied upright with one more tied as a collar hackle. I fish it with a double hook and junction tube to keel it.
