  1. I can't believe mine made it that quickly! The mailman has really stepped up his game!
  2. My flies are finished up and will be in the mail by Friday.
  3. I'm not sure what the name of the pattern is, just something i've tied up playing around at the vise.
  4. I can join in to replace Zip. PJ, just let me know. I have a pattern i'm itching to try.
  5. Hi pj- is there room for me in the swap?
  6. Hey add147-- mandog is my dad- I've been trying to talk him into doing a swap and have walked him through the process and everything. If he gives you any trouble, let me know and I'll sort him out!
  7. PJ2, am I in this swap? If so, I'll start tying!
  8. The boxes that chocolate come in seem like they work. Just glue a bit of craft foam in the bottom to secure the hooks and you're good to go
  9. I took add147's frog out to an old stock tank near my house this evening. This place was pretty overgrown, and I be the last time it was fished was a years ago. But there was tons of cover, a ton of frogs, and bass busting the surface everywhere. I caught 4 about 12-14" long, but they were FAT. They just can't resist a frog fly!
  10. Same here- can someone pm me address? Thanks!
  11. I get my lead eyes from allen fly fishing online. nice quality, inexpensive and they often have 20% off. I get most of my hooks from them as well. I do like my gama b10s hooks though...
  12. PJ2- did you add me? Thanks!
  13. You can keep an eye on flows on our local TU chapters site-- www.grtu.org/flow . For down river from the dam, 600cfs is about the max where you'd want to wade. Right now flow at Sattler is 4500cfs which is insane. Up the river from the Canyon lake looks like its in much better shape, but no trout up there, just mean, feisty guadalupe and small mouth bass
  14. I haven't fished north of canyon lake, but just south of the lake on the guad is stocked w/ bows and browns by GRTU and TPWD. Some of the GRTU stockers are really nice fish, in the 20+ range, with tons +14". Depending on the release of water from the dam, the water is cool enough to support a year round population. With as much rain as we've got in recent months though, the water flow is crazy fast and wading in most parts is near impossible. There is also a healthy population of striped, guadalupe, smallmouth, and largemouth bass incase the trout die off.
  15. count me in if theres space
  16. Hey mcfly, do you have a link to purchase on ebay? I'm wanting to get a selection of colors, but the EP fiber is so expensive!
