DOUG STOUT 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2020 There are occasions when I see a fly and think, "Now THAT design will catch fish for sure", this is one of those. Very VERY nice concept and design. Congrats!

SBPatt 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2020 Loch Ba Muddler (variation) Nothing special about the fly, a pretty basic muddler (here’s the video if you’re interested) but it gave me a chance to try out the winging stuff from the Dungeon; has the same texture as Kreinik Flash-in-a-Tube but a hell of a lot cheaper. Note that all you Kreelex tiers. hook - WFC Model 6 #6 thread - UTC 140 tan tail - bronze mallard rib - small tinsel gold body - Ice Dub Hare’s Ear tan wing - FTD Northern Lights gold/brown collar/head - deer hair Regards, Scott
vicrider 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2020 Okay, tied this to send in to the Mayfly swap they've got going on. Not in the swap but just sent some extras since I was tying them. Emerger with CDC collar and Wally Wings.

SBPatt 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2020 Shipman’s Buzzer Muddler Variant A very cool fly and video from David Downie. May try to scale it down to a #14 and tie it in orange as a LaFontaine Buzzball companion. hook - BVFT Dry #10 thread - UTC 140 black breathers - Congo Hair white rib - medium tinsel opal body - dubbing fiery brown collar/head - deer hair Regards, Scott

Moshup 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2020 This is a dry fly I saw Davie McPhail tie on a video last spring. It’s the famous “Waterhen bloa” tied as a dry fly. i liked it and gave it a go and not always with flies that I tie I stilled liked it after I tied it.lol

The longish chamois looking strip on the tail probably doesn't hurt, either, if that is indeed what the material is. When wet, it has a texture and action like none other.
