That model A was a step up for me.  I started with a model F.    I still use the A from time to time.

I've had that vise for about 20 years now and about once a week I think to myself that I "need" to upgrade, but if it ain't broke...🤷.

Me, too, I tied hundreds of flies on that vise until I upgraded.

Good to get started and have a hobby for a lifetime. Got an email from my grandson who had tied some blue and white mop flies. Well, today they produced some rainbow trout! Now he want to go next week. It's tough but someone has to take him.

Edit: I have a similar vise. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

I kept going back and looking for the iguana.  I believe it's a chameleon.

Thanks, the kids created those. My daughter was kind of meh about the chameleon, but I thought it was really good 🤷.

He asked to go fishing this morning so of course we had to go 🤷. He ended up catching his first fish on a fly rod so that was cool.

We are having Christmas tomorrow with the grandson and family as all the other relatives are out of town. I found the dining room table will hold the vise so I'm taking some thing things. Will take some photos to share.

You are to be commended.  I have my first Granddaughter on the way.  Can't wait to get her on the water and at the bench.  I guess it will be awhile, but I am eyeing kid fly rods at Cabella's.
