Awesome Link.

I found a site called Classicflytying.net. They are all gorgeous flies but don't appear to be fishing flies but rather wall hanging flies. Could someone explain if these flies with their fancy tails and Married wings are actually fished or just for art. Im talking about flies like the one below, for instance:

Full dress Atlantic Salmon Flies were originally created to fish with. Some people still do fish them but most are probably tied for display or enjoyment. Don't forget to check out the  Artistic & Classic Salmon Flies section on this site.

Here’s a link to lots of great Michigan dry fly patterns; some real classics.

Tom was a regular contributor on a previous site I belonged to (FAOL).  Always knowledgeable and I loved his sense of history.  Another fine tyer who is missed.

Had the good fortune to meet Art Flick when I got out of school and he signed my copy of his streamside guide. Nice man. Here’s my first attempt at his Grey Fox Variant.  Waited too long !

Hook.  ......    Mustad 94840. Sz 16

Thread .....    Sheer 14/0.  Tan

tail.       .....    Light ginger rooster

Body.    .....    Light rooster quill stripped

Hackle .....     (3).   In order.    Dark ginger, Light ginger, Grizzly   ***. Sized 2 sized up. So twelves here.  This is considered a pretty small diameter and some would choose to go up 4 szs.
