skeet3t 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2022 Congrats! Dad quit in December, 1955 after starting during WWII. My father and I had a long talk about smoking, drinking and chasing women. He said you can smoke and drink when you are too old to chase women.
Fisherboy0301 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2022 Happy hear to hear the smoke free train keeps on rolling, brother. My mom quit about 4 years ago now. I quit myself a couple years ago, in favor of smokeless products. Not safe, but I can breathe and have my lung capacity back.

DFoster 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2022 Good for you Steve. My wife was a 2 pack per day smoker for 25 years. 16 years ago she made the decision to quit when our first Grandchild was born. She had a couple of relapses early on but is now free. I remember watching a show years ago where they were interviewing people who had successfully quit hard drug addictions and or a very serious alcohol problem but still could not quit smoking. Yes it is that tough to overcome and my hats off to anyone who has that kind of will power. You should be proud of yourself sir.

SalarMan 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2022 For me it was the first day of spring 2000, and I've never looed back. Best thing anyone can do for themselves!! Now always remember this line I got from a friend...You have not quit smoking, you are only between cigarettes and never forget it. George
