niveker 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2020 @LasVegasBill Thanks Bill. Close to the bottom, dead drifting for the most part. Never noted the similarity to the teeny nymph until your comment. Hmm, now you got me thinking.

Sandan 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2020 Some eclectic tying from this weekend. Wasn't sure if I should put the salmon fly attempts on the Artistic & Classic page. I'm not sure if they hit either criteria. Ah, why not. There's some great work on this month's thread. Keep it up you all.
Moshup 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2020 @Sandan very nice ! You keep your vise much more polished than mine. I uv my split eyes with a flex uv resin.

It's polished from my hands constantly being on it. Hahhaha. The one I didn't even try to repair the splits (single rib, pheasant throat). The other (double rib, quail throat) I used vinyl cement, I'll give the resin a try. I put dot of glue on the base of he back of the nail, and then pull the feather through my thumb and forefinger, trying to hold the tip and pull the stem, pulling everything together. That how you do it, but then you cure it after?
